The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering companies including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regard to the large number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie SRD and there's no absolutely functional office committed to service the area on a regular basis. The services point made for intervention encounters a high influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to permit the servicing of all shoppers and maximize access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
